The Marquise Cafe

Truly exceptional, authentic French cafe! The quirky turquoise walls and decorations lend it a cozy, yet artsy atmosphere with Edith Piaf singing softly in the background. The owner and staff are very warm and welcoming. The food is incredible; just like being in France. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a taste of France in Florida!

We had several pastries that were all amazing! We were told they use French flour that is different than American and you can tell. I also had the lavender latte, which was perfect. A must-visit.

we were staying at island inn on treasure island and were looking for a breakfast type spot for the morning. this place was absolutely delicious and the croissants were so yummy. you can tell the owners really care about there customers and love sharing their french foods to those in treasure island. the one lady made us a fruit salad which wasn’t on the menu but we wanted some kind of fruit. she made it perfect and even gave us a to go cup for it. very sweet people and great food! great place to stop :)

Their pastries are simply the best I’ve ever had. Their croissant sandwiches and quiches are also excellent, making for a delicious and satisfying meal. Beyond the cafe, they have a great selection of French grocery items, where I found amazing sauces and high-quality butter. They also offer takeout dishes like Beef Bourguignon, which I can’t wait to try next time!

Let me say that going to a French restaurant is NOT my thing. We were fortunate that a friend gave us a gift certificate to Marquise Cafe. What a wonderful lunch. The soup was something from a Michelin Star restaurant. Our sandwiches were delicious. The service was engaging and wonderful. The French bread in flown in from France. We will definitely make this a regular thing. Average meal is 13. Hard to beat.

Really enjoyed our breakfast at The Marquise Cafe.. so authentic and delicious. Try the crispy chocolate Avalanche croissant and Shirred Eggs!

Very nice workers! We were the only ones in there and it wasn’t on the menu, but asked if they could make an Iced caramel macchiato. One of the best I’ve had! Very clean and good ingredients. I’d go back!

I came to St Pete for vacation with my boyfriend and he loves French cuisine. I must say, the service and food here is AWESOME! It is 100% authentic and Natalie, our server, was so accommodating and attentive the entire time. It was Sunday when I came and they were serving brunch items. However, upon request and calling ahead, they were able to make exceptions and made the Duck Confit (a lunch/dinner item) for us! We also ordered the Shirred Eggs, French Croissant and Duck Pate. The food was really made with tender love and care. We are appreciative of how flexible they were and will be returning again when we visit Florida next time!
